Our Certified Lead Free Faucet Assembly Kit, comes with a solid brass faucet, brass washer, and a solid brass nut. ( NOT A PLASTIC ONE, THAT WILL MELT DUE TO THE TEMPERATURES OF THE WATER) Faucet assembly also includes a Garlock Washer ( OTHER MANUFACTURERS INCLUDE AN O-RING THAT WILL DISFIGURE AND CAUSE YOUR FAUCET TO LEAK) the Brass Nut and Garlock Washer does cost us more, but it is the right thing to do.
Watch out for other brands of stoves manufactured over seas, becuase their faucets may NOT BE LEAD FREE! It is mandated that all brass faucets for potable water are required to be lead free. Other manufacturers get away with non-compliant lead containing spigots because they argue the water tank is not for potable water.
